Past six months in Kharagpur : My story

  1. The first week was a heartburn due to complete demotion in the standard of living of the city, after passing splendid year in Delhi it was a shock!
  2. The food is one degree down the taste and quality (Dhabas on highway in north India are more tastier).
  3. Most of the serving in one n only ccd (cafe coffee day) in IIT are made from milk powder...which taste almost like some medicated syrup.
  4. Shops here open at 10 in the morning and closed by 12 noon, re-opens at 5 in the evening and closed by 8 pm...still you can't track which shop open at what time and day.
  5. IIT students fly over the roads on cycle all around the campus.
  6. If you wish for the rain then you only have rain rain n rain.
  7. Coconut water is the most nutritious thing happened to me here.
  8. Made some new friends here but I still miss my Delhi buddies.
  9. The only sweetest thing we(me n my hubby) have here is plenty of time for each other.
  10. I'm moving towards the middle of Kharagpur chapter sometimes I like being here and sometimes I dream to be somewhere else.

Present...wait for it....ation !

Friday night was the party night, just another casual party...So I thought to make it interesting one.

A sms from my friend reached me in the afternoon saying,"are we partying tonight?"....after some minute I reverted it back saying,"Let me check with my husband, what he says".I tried to call him but the network problem which is bothering me from past 2-3 weeks didn't allow me to connect to him....whatever....So,I decided to call it the party day and messaged my friends to come-over for a blast and this is how it started.

5'O Clock in the evening I started thinking for the menu for the eve. I made a list in my mind and began with the main course, which was 'Malai Kofta'.....Ya I was cooking it for the first time, so bit excited for it.But there was something tastier in my mind and then I became functional for the starters.Hot summer season is in the town so the starter should be Chatpata and luscious. So here is the list...

Sevpuri
Chilly cheese Toast
Cheese Finger
Cheese Dip

Lolz it was the cheesy day!!!

Well in limited time these three were the good options to make.

Guest arrived on time and I wasn't ready with my starters...they were waiting for me and calling me to join them fast...I told them,"just wait for the surprise guys..there is something special" and the funny part was I didn't allow any of them to enter in the kitchen..in case they won't ruined my surprise and they were teasing me...Oh! God we were behaving like a kid...it was the real fun.

For the snacks...I was conscious about the presentation...Then I pulled out my beautiful glass tray from its cover and set it for the presentation...My guests were excited too and curious to know what is the special surprise....I kept them on wait for long...and then it's time.

I kept that piece of creativity on the table in front of them...and waited for the reaction....

My guest were very happy.....now tel what's your reaction... ;) :P

Fortune plays with you.

Three days back one of my cousin lost her husband who was seriously ill for long, the news was tragic for me and everybody in our family. They were married for 13 cheerful years and sudden lost changed everything in my sister’s life. The husband is only the world in every married woman’s life after her parents n kids, with whom she share her emotions, and every aspect of life…I can only imagine how my cousin is feeling but she is facing it. By nature she is a strong lady but this loss is beyond all the goods. In every silence while sitting at the corner of my bed the guilt is killing me… I feel so sad about her, unable to do anything for her…at least I can be with her. I know things will change by time but it is always easier to say this….I love her and praying for her and kid.

When there is a reason to cry God gives us a reason to smile also, after two days one of my cousin was blessed with a baby boy, God bless him n his parents, he’s such a cute baby

One needs a strong will to take over the charge of his/her own destiny. The person’s belief can change the lifeless rock in to the God and after practicing this very belief for the years, n then  time comes to change the destiny…..my destiny is in my hand and I can take it the way I want to. There can be a good number of gains in self-directed destiny, which also increase the confidence level simultaneously. But few losses can give a sudden fall. Then the question crop up…  do I really directing my destiny? Time will change and things will come in order again. This cycle goes on n on. What we learn in the conclusion that gain and loss are the two faces of a coin, sometimes we can predict which face will turn up before the coin hits the ground and sometime we can’t. The number of time it comes in your favor its your good luck and if it is not, its your destiny. This is how we live life, though there are no reasons to live but still there are many. One moment can change everything in your life and that’s the power of destiny, your fortune which plays with you.

Impress With The Correct Ratio:::

I selected this post to be featured on Indian Food Blogs. Please visit the site and vote for my blog!
Chemically if the ratio of any ingredient is correct, the outcome will be always outstanding. Pals think twice..the ratio!......yes the quotient of two numbers or quantities I'm talking about. To gain a culinary skills, it is important for one to know the rules of chemistry (remember your school time chemistry classes?, Okay for any reasons) No I'm not going to give lectures on chemistry here. Do me a favor just concentrate on the ratio.

Why I want you to focus on ratio here (I know written ratio for the fourth time now) because people always forget the ratio in any preparation which results in a total mess...agree with me! So keep in the mind ratio for fifth time now ;)

Do you like karan johar's "coffee with karan" show...well I like coffee but not the karan. I will tell you the finest way of making a "Creamy caffe latte" (you can say a caffè latte version) which would be far better than the coffee at karan's show (no hard feelings karan, later you can add this up to your show) Well if you order "latte" in Italy in any café...then they will serve you a glass of hot or cold milk. Yes in Italian "caffè latte" means coffee and milk. But the (commercial) caffè version of this drink is an American invention. A café in California is the birthplace of caffè latte. The Man was Lino Meiorin in the late 1950s created it. Lino was the first Italian-trained barista in the San Francisco Bay Area, and his Italian-style cappuccinos were apparently too strong for the customers. In response to his customers, he decided to add a larger, milker cappuccino to the menu, and he called this drink the "caffè latte".

So this was the story of origin of caffè latte. The above introduction is needed here because my coffee as I said earlier is a version of caffè latte :) though I haven't created it. It is surly a homemade-invention by someone I don't know but I have learnt this art of making coffee from my cute aunt(Thanks a lot Bua..I always admire you and your tips). But I named it "Creamy caffè latte"

Lets revel the secrete

How to make creamy caffè latte: Preparation time 5 minutes!

Ingredients:

Coffee (caffè)
Milk (latte)
Sugar

Method
The Ratio of above ingredient(coffee and sugar) to make a perfect Coffee.
1:3
1 spoonful of coffee : 3 spoonful of sugar

Beat the coffee and sugar by adding some drops of water...beat it beat it..after some 2-3 minutes the dark color of coffee changes to beautiful creamy brown. To check the consistency hold the spoonful of beaten coffee higher, if it is stick to the spoon then you have beaten it correctly. Now boil the milk and add one spoonful of beaten coffee to a coffee mug and pour the boiled milk in it (can add sugar as par the taste). Now stir it finely until the creamy coffee melts up throughly. Now you can see the light brown foam at the top of the mug. Your Creamy caffè latte is ready.

Do it with style
You can serve the coffee in different styles...like with milk cream, cocoa powder, coco chips, ice creams etc.

A cold coffee can also be made in a similar way just in place of boiled milk add chilled milk, some ice and blend it ;)

So in 5 minutes the creamy caffè latte is ready to serve.

Enjoy your coffee!

And please do give me the feedback after you tried it......!!!

Let It Be In The Nachos Way!

Hey! pals.....yes think it in the Nachos way!!!!!

well I'm not going to tell you the recipe of Nachos here, instead I'm going to tell you how this recipe spiced up my life indeed.

Sometimes you don't know how surprisingly things confront you in your life and become your taste. Taste is what you look for every now and then in life but sometimes on the contrary taste might look for you too. I'm sure you might have listed all your unlike-d veges which you have been ignoring since childhood but on the account of infinite reasons you are eating them today.(If things are not like this for you then reconsider it...because nobody is perfect.)

So Refocusing on my Nachos love story here.......

It was the late December of 2008, when I was on kind of vacation. I went to my uncle's place in Noida, U.P. It was a usual day of having fun with cousins and family. we went for the movie "Rab ne bana di jodi" (ok now all Shahrukh lover plz do you mind!). As always I use to have popcorn n coke in the interval and that day was no different, besides this there was one more thing which used to happen every time whenever I went for the movie with my cousins.......

My cousin use to present me the service of this unfamiliar golden brown triangles with sort of dips n sauces, saying, "wanna try"(There's one thing about me which i don't like, I always say No when somebody offers me something...seriously I suffered great losses due to this nasty habit of mine.) This time I gave it try and grabbed a piece of nachos, dipped it into the sauce and show it a way straight to my mouth (for a change you can imagine this act in slow motion.)

And the moment of Eureka!......I have never tasted something like this.....I was so much in to the taste that to feel it once again, when I move my hand to grab one more piece of it...I realize that the generous offers are always limited.
"Nachos!!!!!!!!!!!"

Since then I'm in love with nachos.(Rab ne jodi bana di) and whenever I have gone for a movie I had nachos only.....My husband is also familiar to this taste of mine now and he always buys nachos for me, so what he goes for the combo pack and interested in other things beside nachos in that pack, but he always thinks about me first. I love him.

No matter how boring and unbearable the movie is...I just want the XL pack of nachos to chill me down. The one reason behind disliking Dhobi Ghat movie was zero intermission in the movie. I was waiting for the interval die-heartily only for the nachos. Now I always make sure this thing before going for the movie.

That day i felt it happens same in life too, our source of happiness set timely and we should always look for the right time to appear, but what we will do when that particular time is only escape from the row. We will wait for yet another series of time to come, after all its just a matter of time.

My penchant for Nachos(Happiness) is still on.

My genuine advice : At some hard phases of life, we should have the patience of a saint. That's what my two cents.

The Moment Of Getting Inspired

So here I go....

Whenever you get in to doozy feeling moment when yours eyes shed some happy-tears(or whatever tears), and you feel like something is being filled in you, which lighten up your body and you start flying(No no I'm not talking about Red bull here). your inner voice bellow,"Why I haven't thought in this way...I can do this too....Yes I can."

What you will call it?

The moment of inspiration.......

I don't know how many of you harmonized on this point of mine, but this feeling is very common to me. Since childhood I'm getting inspired by things, people, acts blah blah....The list is so long.

At first I was inspired to became a "Heart surgeon",then a "Microbiologist", then a "Scientist"(On the take of biology course what else you can think to be aspirant off.)..

Oops! I missed out "The Wildlife ranger" how can i forget this one, after the declaration (without knowing the fact that it doesn't happens in India), everyone had poked a fun at me(Thanks to National Geographic channel).

After the decay when I developed a interest in novel reading...I wannabe "the Writer"(Which is still on) then...Actress/Miss World....hey every girl have dreamt to be a actress or Miss world, until she realize her facts and it just becomes a pipe dream.

It's not a long past when I genuinely got inspired by the movie "Julie & Julia".... I can reminisce it very well. Once my husband told me about the movie and tagged it as 'must watch'....then what, I followed it, became fan and i loved it...Two women, one became the inspiration and one got inspired. Such a beautiful movie which not only tells the story of two remarkable women but harbuors a lot of values in it.

Life gives you many rendezvous with some people, act or thing which may directly or indirectly effects you. But point to ponder here is whether inspiration choose you or you choose the inspiration, though the result of both might not be the same, it really effects your life. So inspire someone with something or get inspired.

Genuine advice: whenever you get inspired with someone don't let him/her knows it...coz the beauty of the moment lies in the silence only this's what my two cents.
